MealRoll Privacy Policy

MealRoll is designed to help you plan meals and manage shopping lists with minimal data collection. This Privacy Policy explains what information is handled by the app and website.

1) Information We Collect

In the app:

Recipes, meal plans, and shopping list items you create or import.
Optional backup files you export (for example, .mealroll files).

On the website:

Information you submit through the contact form (such as your name, email address, and message).

2) How Information Is Used

To provide core MealRoll functionality (planning meals, managing lists, importing recipes).
To respond to support requests you send through the contact form or email.

3) Data Storage

App data is stored locally on your device.
If you export a backup, the backup is stored wherever you choose to save/share it.

4) Apple Reminders Integration (Optional)

If you choose to use the Reminders feature on iOS, MealRoll requests permission to write shopping items to the Reminders list you select. This is optional and only happens when you initiate the action.

5) Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share app data with third parties except as needed to provide requested functionality (for example, sending an email from the contact form) or as required by law.

6) Data Retention

App data remains on your device until you delete it, reset the app, or uninstall the app.
Support emails/messages may be retained as needed to provide customer support.

7) Children’s Privacy

MealRoll is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8) Your Choices

You can delete app data using the in-app reset option.
You can remove exported backups at any time from wherever you saved them.
You can disable Reminders access in iOS Settings.

9) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date on this page.
